Hema Malini to be elected to the Rajya Sabha of Karnataka

Yesterday actress Bollywood and Hema Malini Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to retype Rajya Sabha - this time in Karnataka.

She was appointed to the Rajya Sabha in 2003 by the Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

His choice as a candidate for the election of March 3 BJP was announced in New Delhi late Friday if there are multiple suitors BJP Karnataka for the seat.

B.S. Yeddyurappa Saturday Chief Minister refused a rift in the BJP State of Hema Malini selection unit.

The Rajya Sabha of Karnataka seat has become vacant following the death of M.V. Rajashekara Murthy of Janata Dal-layman (JD-S) 5 Dec.

Hema Malini victory is assured that the BJP ruling has 107 members including the Chairman, the 225-seat assembly. It can bank on an independent support.

Congress has 71 members and 27 JD-S. Both parties have not announced if they anticipate a candidate of their own or a common field.

With a number range against them, the two parties cannot field a candidate.

Hema Malini is likely to submit his papers Monday, the last day to do so.

Force current Assembly is 206 after the disqualification of legislators 16 - 11 of the BJP and independent five - to rebel against Yeddyurappa in September / October last year.

Three other vacancies were caused by the resignation of Congress and JD-S members.
