Bollywood songs, dances prohibited in the rooms of Lahore

BollywoodWorld.com, the Council for the arts scene in Lahore has decided to ban all singing and dancing shows based on Indian films due to the presence of "vulgar" in them and to promote the only classical dance in Pakistani theatre.

Lahore Arts Council (BAC) decision has, however, irate producers and artists who believe that the Council strives to damage their business, said the Express Tribune.

The decision has been taken to facilitate quality theatre, said a spokesman for the Council.

Chaudhary Zulfiqar Ahmad, President of the Association of Commercial Theatre producers said: "how many films are carried out in Pakistan each year?" The handle are made, how many have songs that we use in our pieces? »

"If we do not have shows on Indian songs, and may not include other than classical dance, dance, performances then what remains,", he said.

"Some artists and producers do not follow certain ethical standards not dances when including performances by dance in their plays, they should be prohibited-."

"A limited section of the public enjoys traditional dancing, then a large number of spectators have little or no interest in such representations." "This ban will have major financial implications for commercial theatre," said Ahmad.

Suggesting "vulgarity" commercial theatre use, he said the Council should strictly censor scripts and does not impose a ban.

The script of a piece is first approved by IBC and Punjab Arts Council and then only, it is sent to the home for clearance Department. "Writers on the Panel of the Board approve the scripts, he said."

Each submitted script mentioned dance performances included in a play. If the Commission has objections to any show should censor who, instead of banning all dances with Indian songs, he added.

"As regards Indian songs, many of them are now sung by Pakistani singers and are very popular here." If we can leave in the form of CD, DVD, and their leur écran screen in our cinemas, why can't we include in our plays, "asked another producer on the condition of anonymity."

On the other hand, the popular Pakistani artists as Samina Ahmad and Usman Peerzada supported the prohibition of Bollywood dance performances.

"Dance in these commercial theatre productions performances often vulgar." Performance have no theme or relevance. "It is better to prohibit pieces in their entirety rather than allowing them to be dancing, said Peerzada."
